CELEBRATING "OUR NANAY"
This past weekend, we celebrated a woman who means so much to our family, my mother-in-law.
She’s the kind of mom who covers her children and grandchildren in prayer. Quiet but steady. Present without needing to be asked. The one who always thinks of others, who lifts up our family with her faith and keeps showing up, no matter the season.
She’s still growing, still learning, still leaning into what God has for her. She even joined us at Jumpstart not just to sit and listen, but to share. She offered her wisdom to the group, straight from the heart. It moved people. It moved me. She didn’t need a platform and just a willing heart.
If it were up to her, she and my father-in-law would be at every milestone, every game, every performance, every gathering. And honestly, they try. The love they carry for this family runs deep. You see it in the way they show up.
And this past weekend, being surrounded by the people she loves most you could see the joy all over her. That light in her eyes when the kids ran up to her. That smile when we laughed around the table. It wasn’t about gifts or decorations. It was about family. That’s what fills her up.
She deserves that joy. She deserves these moments. The kind of moments where she gets to receive instead of always giving. To be celebrated. To be seen and know she is loved by all of us.
It’s a blessing to have her in our lives. She holds more than a title. She holds a place in all of our hearts. We love her dearly!
