When No One Sees It But God: The Silent Vows We Keep as Mothers
It all started on a day when my mind just wouldn’t stop racing.
Thoughts were everywhere — tangled up in worries, questions, ideas — and the only place that could hold it all was my journal. Writing was how I made sense of life. Eventually, those thoughts turned into poems… simple little letters to myself. Later, I found my way back to blogging — and deep down, I knew:
One day, I’ll share these stories.
Back then, I had just stepped away from the corporate world.
It wasn’t easy, but I didn’t walk away bitter. I saw it as a chapter that taught me what mattered most — and one that quietly led me back to what I truly valued.
That’s when I made a vow.
I promised myself — and I promised God — that whatever came next, I wouldn’t leave my faith out of it.
I wouldn’t hide it to fit in. I wouldn’t tone it down to make others comfortable. This time, it would be part of the work, not separate from it.
I think about how some of the disciples told Jesus they’d never walk away from Him… and yet they did.
And honestly… I’ve done that too. Not by saying no, but by staying silent when I knew something felt off. By going along with things just to avoid conflict. By choosing what was safe instead of what was right.
But now I’m in a new season.
I’ve made a promise that every month —a dedicated one week will solely be a Holy Rosary Blog— I will write something that connects with the Mysteries of the Rosary, something that honors the spiritual side of my journey as a mom.
Because motherhood isn’t just about the daily hustle. It’s about the quiet prayers we whisper while folding laundry. It’s the moments we hold back tears so we can show up for our kids. It’s the deep love behind every unseen task.
No one may ever give us an award for it — but God sees all of it.
He saw Mary, too.
She didn’t make big speeches. She didn’t demand attention. She simply stayed close — at the manger, in the temple, and even at the foot of the Cross.
That kind of love — the kind that stays, supports, and believes even when it’s hard — reminds me of what it means to be a mom.
And so I write.
Not for followers. Not for likes. But to share the honest, messy, meaningful pieces of my story.
Because I believe every mom has a story. And in that story, there’s always something beautiful, something that teaches, something that connects.
I’m not afraid to speak up anymore.
Because even if no one claps or comments — this is my offering. This is my “yes.” This is how I stay faithful.
If you’re a mom who’s ever made a quiet promise in your heart — one that no one else knows about — I want you to know something:
You’re not alone.
What’s one thing you’ve promised yourself or your family lately — big or small?
Share it in the comments, or send me a message. Let’s remind each other that even when no one else sees it — God does.
Keep going.
Keep showing up.
And never forget that your faithfulness in the little things is never wasted.
