The In-Between of Holy Saturday
Holy Saturday. The in-between.
The quiet.
The waiting.
The heavy pause between heartbreak and glory.
It’s the day where the world feels still—where hope breathes in silence. And yet, something stirs.
What Are the Stones in Your Life?
This Holy Saturday, I found myself reflecting—What stones am I still holding on to?
The kind that blocks the light.
The kind that makes it hard to hope, to believe, to trust.
Is it my need to control things?
The weight of pride I didn’t know I still carried?
Attachments I haven’t released?
Is it fear—of failing, of not being enough?
These stones are heavy.
And they don’t belong in the tomb anymore.
Because the tomb was only temporary.
As your mom, I want so many things for you.
Adventure. Joy. Laughter. Growth.
But more than anything, I want you to know what it means to live a life rooted in Jesus.
In a world that’s messy and confusing, I want you to:
Because this life isn’t just about doing all the right things.
It’s about remembering who you belong to—
And living in a way that reflects Him.
“Let There Be Light”
From the very beginning, Light was spoken into being.
God said: “Let there be light.”
And it was good.
That same Light is never far. It waits for us to open the door, roll away the stone, and step into it.
The Story That Shaped Our Faith
Holy Saturday doesn’t exist in isolation. It’s a thread in the beautiful tapestry of salvation:
Abraham laid Isaac on the altar—his only son—obedient, without question.
And God said, “The Lord sees.”
Because of Abraham’s faith, a nation was born. A blessing to all the earth.
Moses stood with courage and led his people away from slavery.
“Stand firm. The Lord will fight for you.”
Waters parted. Freedom came.
People who did not know God were called anyway.
“Seek the Lord while He is near. Listen, and your soul will live.”
Wisdom flowed. Laws were given.
The fountain of understanding invited us to love God with all our heart, soul, and strength.
And still—we wandered.
But God never gave up. He gave us Jesus.
Baptism: Our Walk Into New Life
Baptism is more than tradition—it’s our burial with Christ and resurrection into His light.
We die to sin.
We rise in Him.
And when we rise, the weight of sin stays in the tomb.
This Holy Saturday, I remembered my own baptism. My children too. And the beauty of watching someone rise from the water, eyes wide with the hope of Heaven.
We are made new.
Light enough to float again.
A Great Earthquake: Don’t Fear the Shaking
The trembling. The stone rolled away. The women at the tomb, heart pounding.
He wasn’t there.
The earthquake didn’t signal destruction—it was an announcement:
✝️ Sin is broken. Death has no sting. He is risen. ✝️
Fear shook the earth because something eternal had just shifted.
And now, we’re invited to do the same.
To step into the resurrection.
Which Will You Choose?
Holy Saturday asks us one question:
What stone are you ready to roll away so that the Light can pour in?
Is it the stone of regret?
The stone of trying to do it all on your own?
The stone of comparison or guilt or resentment?
God isn’t asking for perfection.
He’s asking for surrender.
For the courage to hope again.
To believe.
To witness.
To rise.
A Cool Travel Mom’s Legacy of Faith
As a mom, as a wife, as a woman of faith—this journey isn’t just about me.
It’s about the legacy I’m building for my family.
What story will my kids tell about how their mom lived out Holy Saturday?
Will they say I carried my stone to the tomb—or that I left it there, trusting God to roll it away?
This Holy Saturday, my prayer is simple:
“God, give me the courage to roll the stone away.
To believe that Light is near.
To walk boldly into resurrection life.
Not just for me—but for my children, my family, and the world I’m called to love.”
Closing Benediction: Rise with Courage
He is Risen. But first, He waited.
Let us wait with hope.
Let us rise with courage.
Let us live like the Light is already breaking through.
