🕊️ As I Have Done for You…

Dear Children,

Tonight, we remember one of the most sacred nights in history.

Holy Thursday.

The night when Jesus, knowing what was about to happen—

that He would be betrayed, abandoned, humiliated, and crucified—

still chose to kneel… and wash feet.

He didn’t pick the perfect ones.

He didn’t avoid the ones who would let Him down.

He washed all their feet.

Because love—real, Holy Love—comes to serve.

As I Have Done for You

Jesus said something so powerful that night:

"As I have done for you, you should also do."

And…

"Do this in remembrance of me."

At first, the disciples didn’t fully get it.

Peter even resisted.

But Jesus responded:
"What I am doing, you do not understand now, but you will understand later."

And my dear children, that’s so much like life.

There are going to be seasons and moments where you’ll wonder why things are the way they are—

why we go to Mass, why we pause to pray,

why we forgive, why we give, why we show up even when it’s hard.

You may not understand it now.

But you will, I promise.

Because God has always been planting seeds in your heart—

from the moment you were still in my womb.

Long before you took your first breath,

He already knew your name.

✝️ A Night That Leads Us to the Cross

This night leads straight to the Cross.

After that meal, Jesus was betrayed.

Arrested.

Tried.

Whipped.

Mocked.

Nailed to a wooden cross and left to die.

And still, He served.

Still, He loved.

Still, He invited.

And that’s what this night reminds us of:

That love—true love—isn’t loud or boastful.

It’s humble.

It kneels.

It gives even when nothing is given back.

💖 A Mom’s Heart for You

As your mom, I want so many things for you.

Adventure. Joy. Laughter. Growth.

But more than anything, I want you to know what it means to live a life rooted in Jesus.

In a world that’s messy and confusing, I want you to:

• Here's some stuff

• Serve without needing to be seen

• Celebrate with gratitude

•Love even when it costs something

• Forgive because Jesus first forgave

• Sing when you feel joyful, and especially when you don’t

• Trust even in uncertainty

Because this life isn’t just about doing all the right things.

It’s about remembering who you belong to—

And living in a way that reflects Him.

🕯️ “Do This in Remembrance of Me”

The Mass, the Eucharist, the way we gather every Sunday…

it’s not just a tradition we keep.

It’s a command of love.

It’s how we say yes to Jesus all over again.

It’s how we become present at the Cross—not with fear, but with awe.

With reverence.

That’s one of the most important gifts I pray you carry through your life:

a sense of reverence and awe.

Because when you live with awe, you start to see God in the small things.

The way the sun touches your face.

The way your little sibling laughs.

The way bread and wine become something so much more.
