Real Talk: “I Was Thinking About This Today…”

You ever read that line from Isaiah—

“Before birth the Lord called me, from my mother’s womb He named me”— and just sit with it for a second?

Like…wow, before we even opened our eyes or took our first breath, God already had love and purpose wrapped all around us.

That kind of love? It’s deep. It’s wild.

And honestly, it hits differently during Holy Week.

He Knew… and Still Loved

So here’s what got me thinking…

Jesus knew everything that was about to go down.

He knew Judas would betray Him.

He knew Peter would deny Him.

He knew His closest friends would fall asleep when He needed them the most.

And still—He washed their feet.

He fed them.

He loved them.

He didn’t hold back just because He knew they’d fail Him.

How crazy is that kind of love?

Truth, Love, and Wake-Up Calls

And when He said, “One of you will betray me…” He wasn’t saying it to be dramatic.

He was stating the truth— Not to shame them, but to wake them up.

Because truth—when it’s said with love—brings awareness. Even when it hurts.

From Distance to Dependence

And…I’ve had those seasons too. Where I’ve literally sat there like:

“God… I don’t even know what’s wrong, but I feel far. I don’t want to feel like this anymore. Just take it. Take it all.”
That feeling of emptiness of distance?

It’s horrible.

But it's also the kind of moment where you realize…

You never want to go back to life without His presence..

When Life Feels Like Judas

Life will have those Judas moments

.People will betray us.

We’ll go through heartbreaks, job loss, health scares…

And it’s so easy to say:

“They hurt me.”

“They left me.”

“They broke something in me.”

But what if we started asking:

“Lord… how can even this become a part of Your glory?”Not because the pain is good.

But because

He is good

And He’s the only One who can take something broken and turn it into something beautiful.

He Never Stops Calling

So yeah, this Holy Week… I’m not just thinking about Jesus on the Cross.

I’m thinking about the parts of my life where I’ve felt like I couldn’t follow.

Where I felt lost or confused.

Where I questioned everything—even Him.

But I’m also thinking about how He never once stopped calling me by name

Even in the middle of my mess.

Cool Travel Mom Takeaway

So to all of you, here’s what I’m trying to hold on to:

• Don’t carry your struggles in silence.

• Don’t let your pain define your purpose.

• And don’t forget… every single part of your story—yes, even the hard stuff—can become an instrument of God’s glory if you let Him in.

Not my will, Lord. But Yours be done.
Let me know what this week’s been stirring in your heart too.

You know I’m always here for a faith talk—even if it’s at midnight with coffee in hand ☕🙂

I may not know you know…

YOU are Loved!!!

With love always,
