You Know, I’ve Been Thinking About Holy Week...
Dear Friend,
I was reflecting today—this week always feels different, doesn’t it?
Especially Wednesday of Holy Week. There’s this quiet anticipation in the air, like something sacred is stirring.
Preparing the Passover… and a Betrayal
The disciples were busy preparing the Passover meal, just doing what Jesus asked.
I imagine them moving around with purpose but also a little unsure, not fully grasping the weight of what was ahead.
And in the background... Judas.
He was one of them. He had faith. He walked closely with Jesus, lived the stories we now read. But somewhere along the way, his desire for money clouded his faith. He exchanged trust for silver—thirty pieces of silver. And it made me pause, because it’s so easy to judge him, but how often do we find ourselves in similar places?
Not with silver coins maybe, but with things that distract us from God’s voice.
Life’s Joys… and Life’s Tunnels
There are seasons in life that are full of joy—sunny days, spontaneous trips, late-night laughs with the kids. Moments where love feels easy and everything aligns just right.
And then there are the other seasons—the ones where you're walking through grief, heartache, health struggles, financial pressure, or the ache of relationships not turning out how you hoped.
In those dark moments, it’s so easy to spiral. To question everything. To wonder,
“Am I really loved?”
or
“Where is God in all this?”
A Gentle Reminder from Heaven
But here's the beautiful, gentle truth I was reminded of today:
God never doubts us.
Even when we doubt ourselves. Even when we fall short. Even when we’ve let fear, pride, or disappointment sit in the driver's seat.
He calls us His precious investment in this world. Created with love. Designed for purpose. Covered in grace.
And He’s not just somewhere far off watching us struggle—He’s right in the midst of our journey, offering safe passage even when the tunnel feels endless.
Even Judas, with all his faults, was invited to the table. Jesus looked at him with compassion and said, “You have said it.” A quiet but piercing truth, spoken in love.
The Heart of Holy Week
Friend, this week has reminded me of something powerful:
• We are meant to embrace love, not just when it’s easy, but especially when it’s hard.
• We are called to appreciate the moments—the big ones and the seemingly ordinary ones.
• And when we keep God at the center—right there in the middle of our messy,
beautiful, unpredictable journey—He transforms it.
His presence turns pain into purpose, doubts into direction, and silence into sacred ground.
If You're in a Tunnel Today...
So today, if you feel stuck in a tunnel, like the walls are closing in—remember:
🕊️“Lord, in your great love, answer me.”
🕊️“Liberating God, help us to find the light at the end of every tunnel.”
Let’s keep leaning into faith, not fear. Let’s empower one another to hold onto truth, even when it’s hard. Let’s be the kind of person who walks with grace and chooses joy—not because life is perfect, but because God is present.
You Are Loved, Friend
You are loved, friend. You were never meant to walk this alone.
Let’s keep choosing love, choosing life, and letting our moments reflect the One who holds it all.
Love,
